  Hi, music fans. While I'm no Marty Stuart or Milt Hinton , I enjoy taking photographs of what I see that interests me. I just entered my first competition at LensCulture.com this morning with the picture above which I took in Rougemont last fall. I certainly don't labor under any illusions about the competition, but I do have to say that I'm emboldened by the great response my pictures have been getting on Instagram. Today at 5pm (Monday, Oct. 5), I'll be a guest (along with Sam Frazier ) on Secret Monkey Weekend's 1/2 Hour Podcast. If you don't know the band, Secret Monkey Weekend is Jefferson Hart (guitar, vocals), Ella Brown (electric bass, vocals) and Lila Brown (drums, vocals). They're from Durham NC and have been playing locally for a couple years. Yesterday, I performed with the band at the socially-distant Carrboro Music Festival and we had a large time.
